Basket Tree Built at Kent Narrows

Members and Friends of the  Queen Anne’s County Watermen’s Association will join together on Saturday, November 27, 2021, to construct the Queen Anne’s County Watermen’s Crab Basket Tree  in Queen Anne’s County.

 

The tree is located at the corner of Wells Cove Road and Rt. 18 on the Fisherman’s Inn property at 3116 Main Street in Grasonville.

A ceremonial tree lighting, hosted by the Queen Anne’s County Watermen’s Association, will take place the evening of December 4. A holiday-themed event will also take place around the tree from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. the day of the lighting. The event will feature a holiday arts and crafts fair, hot beverages, and a visit from Santa. (see detailed program below)

 

The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the actual lighting taking place at 6:30 p.m. The event will be live streamed on QAC TV.

  

This year the tree will remain in place through the last week in January so visitors and residents may take their photos with the tree throughout the holiday season.
