Come to see the Queen Anne's County Watermen's Crab Basket Trees in Kent Narrows! Trees are light up at night! The perfect place to take a picture when you visit the Shore.Located at Fisherman's Inn at 3116 Main Street in Grasonville on the beautiful Kent Narrows Waterfront! Trees be erected during Thanksgiving weekend and will stay up until the end of January! Stay tuned for all of the funs ways you can participate in the 2023 basket tree events.

The Independence Day Celebration at Kent Narrows is held at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Chesapeake Center on Stayed tuned for event information for the 2023 celebration.

Attendees can bring a chair or blanket and enjoy dinner and the fireworks show out on the lawn next to the Visitor’s Center.


Free parking is available at the 59 Piney Narrows road at the old outlets. A shuttle will bring you down for the festivities.

Tentative Schedule

Parking opens at 5:00pm

Shuttles start at 5:30pm

Family fun starts at 6:00 pm

Fireworks start at 9:15.

Food trucks will be available to purchase dinner.


A cooler can be brought in (No alcohol is permitted on county property).

 The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center in Grasonville offers Educational Programs, Nature Walks and Events Year Round!

Check out the upcoming events at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, located in Grasonville on Discovery Lane, just five minutes from the Waterfront Restaurant District in the Kent Narrows. From the Kent Narrows, take Main Street (Rt 18) into Grasonville and turn right on Perrys Corner Road. Discovery Lane is on the right about a quarter of a mile. You will be traveling on a dirt road to get to the center.
