What’s unique about Kent Narrows? Everywhere you go, you’ll find a view of the water! The area is home to four hotels and several award-winning restaurants, all with water views.
 
Even in the wintertime, on most days, you’ll see the workboats pass through. Kent Narrows is the perfect spot for a cozy wintertime retreat.
 
Enjoy our award-winning dining venues, waterfront hotels, scenic trails, and relaxing spas. All surrounded by scenic marinas and beautiful river and bay views.
 
Here you can see the sun rise and set over the scenic bays and waterways. Take time to shop at Kent Island Gifts and Hope Boutique, have some warm beverages at Dessert First and enjoy a spa visit at Swan Cove Spa.
 
Stay at Hyatt Place, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express or the Hilton Garden Inn.
 
All have water views and waterfront rooms.
 
New to Kent Narrows is Hope Boutique, and Kent Island Gifts located at 100 Piney Narrows Road. Both stores sit within the Boatel Complex just across from the Dock House Restaurant.
 
If you like art and antiques, visit Anchors and Oars in nearby Grasonville. The store is located on Rt. 18, Main Street, just across from the Queenstown Bank. Just down the road in Queenstown, you'll find the Queenstown Premium Outlets.
 
ITS ALL ABOUT OYSTERS IN THE WINTERTIME
But we still have plenty of great crab dishes throughout the year! Because an oyster packing facility located on the waterfront, oyster dishes are number one in these parts! Have them on the half shell or cooked. Harris Crab House offers Friday night Oyster Buffets and nightly specials. The restaurant also offers hard crabs throughout the winter season.
Fisherman’s Inn also offers a wide variety of savory oyster and crab dishes. Here you will see Miss Betty’s collection of oyster plates and may have a bowl of their famous Oyster Stew or Crab Soup. The elevated model train that runs through the dining room is always a favorite attraction here.
 
Bridges, The Narrows, Harris Crab House, the Dock House and the Jetty also offer great oyster and crab dishes. The Narrows is known far and wide for their chunky Cream of Crab Soup. The Narrows now offers a Sunday Brunch, while the Jetty offers breakfast and brunch on weekends.
 
For daily breakfast offerings check out Dessert First, located next to Harris Crab House. Sugar Doodles Sweet Shop is located on the west side of Kent Narrows in the Boatel Complex. Breakfast is also available at the Hilton Garden Inn for walking patrons.​​​
 
ENJOY COLD WEATHER HIKING AND BIRD WATCHING!
 
Bird watching is a popular activity here in the shoulder seasons. Since the hotels and restaurants here, have views of the rivers and bays you may enjoy the wintertime shorebirds from most venues.
 
Many species of Waterfowl winter in the Chesapeake Bay Region. Diving ducks like scaups, buffleheads and mergansers are plentiful. You will also see dabbling ducks. As their name suggests, these birds stay close to the surface.
 
The beautiful white tundra swans often gather with black ducks and mallards in the rivers and coves. Canada Geese and Bald Eagles can be spotted overhead and in the fields.
 
You can travel along the Chesapeake Country scenic byway and find fields filled with snow geese.
 
The cove and the trail in front of the Holiday Inn Express offer great viewing spots, so does the area around Wells Cove Public Landing.
 
Ferry Point Park overlooks the Kent Narrows and the Chester River. Ferry Point Park is full of a variety of waterfowl. Another place to enjoy birdwatching and hiking is at the nearby Chesapeake Heritage and Environmental Center.
 
VISIT THE VINEYARDS ENJOY WINE TASTING
 
Thursday-Sunday (hours vary) Visit the newly opened, Chesapeake Manor Vineyard in Stevensville. Located on Love Point Road on the west side of Kent Island, this facility offers an indoor tasting room and outdoor seating year-round.
 
Check their website for special events. Friday-Sunday from 12-5 p.m. Love Point Vineyards and Winery offers award-winning wine tasting experiences while you enjoy expansive views of the Chester River. Visitors may enjoy wine flights, wine by the glass or bottle, and sharable snacks.
 
During the cooler months, enjoy the sun-filled tasting room and the wood burning fireplace. Walk-ins are welcome, no reservations are required. Love Point is about a 12-minute ride from Kent Narrows.

A stop in Historic Stevensville is especially fun on the first weekend of the month when some of the historic attractions are open.​
