To celebrate the end of the pleasure boating season, the Kent Narrows Development Foundation, the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce, and businesses in and around the Kent Narrows are hosting a lighted boat parade competition at the Kent Narrows Waterfront.

 

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, and will feature boats of all descriptions illuminated using strings of lights or other means. The parade will start in the Wells Cove area at  6:30 and will circle through the Kent Narrows Waterfront Area twice. The parade will be visible from all restaurants and marinas in the Kent Narrows and also from the Public Landing areas.

 

Prizes will be awarded at Harris Crab House around 7:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.

 

Boats and their crews are encouraged to enter the parade and may do so by filling out the entry materials. Cash prizes totaling $850.00 are provided by Queen Anne’s County.

 

Registration: All participants must register through the QAC Chamber website by noon on Friday, October 19.

 

There is an entry fee of $25.00 that can be paid by check (payable to the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce) or credit card.
